Final game of the season and with a few last minute changes between teams we set off for Leighton Buzzard.

It was pretty evident from the start that this was a game we would win, however with the forwards all out for scoring rather than passing to each other, at half time we were only 3 -0 up. Fran did step up and take a penalty flick for what should have been a goal for Bev apart from the foot on the line. Expertly taken Fran pushed it into the bottom left hand corner to increase her number of goals for the season.

Second half we played a lot better and pretty much just stayed in their defending half all match. Apart from one break where they took off down the field and our goal keeper had vanished. George was at the sideline trying to convince Mary to go in goal for a few minutes whilst George went to the toilet. Luckily she got back in time, and so had the defence to take care of any danger.

We had a lot of shots on goal, with Laura following up a great shot putting the GK and defence under pressure meaning they fumbled and the ball went over the line. Lauren came from defence and scored a brilliant goal from the top of the D.

Finished 8 -0 up. Great end of season for the team only losing 1 game after Christmas to the league winners. As ever we always start slowly and finish well.
