Attention all goalkeepers and club coaches ...

England Hockey’s goalkeeper lead Grahame Mansell-Grace AKA Panda will be returning to BHC to deliver some dedicated goalkeeper training next month. The session, to be split into two sections, will take place on Thursday 9th June at BSHC.

The first element of the evening will run from 7-8:30pm where all BHC coaches can attend and learn ideas and best practice in terms of integrating goalkeepers more effectively into training sessions. U18 Club goalkeeper’s will be taking part in the session along with outfield academy players.

From 8:30-10pm it’s the turn of the senior goalkeepers and this will be a goalkeeping training session. Panda is no stranger to BHC, having secured promotion for the ladies 1st team back in 2014/15 and we look forward to welcoming him back to the club for this session which we hope could be the start of more focused goalkeeper training at the club.

Speaking about the initiative club chairman Rob Moulam said “We are pleased to offer this opportunity in support of our goalkeepers at BHC. It’s a dedicated position and specific training is long overdue. Panda is the ideal person for us to bring in, with his ideas in creating a legacy to this session, with new goalie champions and more knowledgeable coaches”

Club goalkeepers will receive an invitation to one of the two sessions and we would invite all club coaches to attend the CPD element from 7-8:30pm. For more information contact your club captain
