Heather played with both the L2's and 3's at Bedford and all her peers have very treasured memories of their team mate and friend.
I recall fondly the pleasure of having Heather as part of the L3's dream team. She was exactly the type of character you wanted on the pitch. She worked hard, was always positive, uncomplaining and rallied the team. She would make an effort to include the newer and younger players and was very well respected by all her team mates.
As a friend she would always give you time. You felt loved, listened to and cared for. Above all, Heather had a fantastically dry sense of humour, a brilliant laugh and was always giggling and part of the banter. On car journeys to away matches she always had hilarious stories about her sister Rebecca and husband Nils, both who she loved dearly.
She will be greatly missed as both a team mate and friend. We are truly devastated to lose one of the hockey family and our thoughts and love go to all of Heather’s family and friends at this tragic time.
