We are also delighted to confirm that Yvette Van Yperen has accepted the role as Ladies 2s captain and that underlines our whole club approach in buying into Project National League. With a stronger second team squad, this will undoubtedly help us to realise our ambitions as a club and hopefully the 2s will be completing at the top of East Div 1 next season. All captains will be formally voted in at the AGM on the 10th June.

For those of you who may not yet be aware, we are planning changes to our training groupings next season due to continued membership growth. Our 1s and 2s will train together, 3s and 4s and finally the 5s and 6s. We are very much looking for more overlap and co-operation in these sessions which will help communication, player development and have various other organisational benefits. There will be confirmed times and coaches announced in the next update.

Our Friday girls academy sessions have proved a real hit so far. It’s great to see lots of new players at the club getting involved in these developmental sessions which focus on technical skill development. There are still 3 sessions left and it’s not too late to get involved if you are between 12-16 years old. Each week we have guest coaches from the ladies 1st team so it’s a great environment for youngsters to develop their skills over the summer.
