Dixon leads 3s back to div 3SW

Bedford 3s drop to div 4SW was short lived and the lads bounced back with top honours.

Josh Dixon stepped in as captain of the team last season and as always, lead from the front, scoring 18 goals. His tally was bested by only 1 player who finished top scorer in the club, his strike partner Carl Pearson. The team finished the 22 game season with 18 wins and 97 goals! The 3s turned Chester Road into their own fortress collecting maximum points on home turf, winning 11 out of 11, scoring 58 and only conceding 13 goals.

Josh had a great team behind him, which included some very good young talent in the form of Will Dad, Josh Huges-Earlington and both Ben Leeson & Josh Rattu pushing their way into the 2s.

The guys finished the season on a 7 match winning streak which was needed to see of tough competition from a re-vitalised Berhamsted 2nd team. Next season the 3s will be captained by Josh again with James White as player coach to the team. There will also be a new training session run at the Bedford sports & hockey centre from 7-8 pm on a Tuesday night to help them in Div 3SW.

Good luck to the lads next season who will be targeting another successful season under Mr Dixon.
