Steve played hockey for Bedford HC since he was able to hold a stick, starting with sunday morning junior sessions, then promoting his way up the club to mens 3s before heading off to Lincolnshire university. Whilst at university he played for Lincoln Roses mens 2s and the university 1s team, where he won the midlands cup. Whilst in Lincoln he coached the ladies uni 2nd team and now back in Bedford he wants to continue giving back to the club that help develop his own abilities to what they are today.

Freddie has played hockey since the age of 11, representing Bedford Modern School, where we captained the school first team. Whilst at BMS Freddie coached the younger lads at the school and also the junior section at Bedford HC earning his level 1 coaching badge. Freddie then moved to Birmingham for university where he represented the university and later Harbourne hockey club. Freddie carried on his coaching at university where he coached the Biology Society intermural side.

The session will be run at the same time as the Mens 3s training at Bedford Sports and Hockey Centre on a Tuesday night from 19:00-20:00. This session is open to anyone and ideal for any juniors who have just finished the Sunday morning training camps and looking for their next step and any players currently playing in the mens 4s & 5s. Bedford this year has entered a new team into div 9SW which is being run as a development side, captained by the club president and current England LX over 60s captain Robert Oakley.
