U8 and U10 teams travelled to Shefford and Sandy today - resulting in extra time and golden goals!

Two U8 and two U10 teams travelled to Shefford and Sandy today, all showing great attitudes in the face of some stiff competition.

Our U8s are the youngest group of our junior section and each played fantastically with everyone contributing and nobody giving up when goals were conceded. It is worth mentioning that some of the players only started hockey training a few weeks ago and it was great to see them get stuck in, with older, more experienced U8 players encouraging those at their first tournament. The squad rotated between the two teams, culminating with a very close semi final, lost narrowly in extra time by a golden goal from the opposition. A great morning of hockey, well done everyone!

The U10 teams showed some great spirit and skilful hockey over their group games with one team winning their pool and going through to the semi finals. Some excellent hockey was observed during an incredibly close match against the hosts but the score was 1-1 at full time and Bedford were unlucky to concede a last second goal at the end of extra time. A performance to be proud of!
