Do you have skills which can help?

Calling all BHC members,

As you know the club is moving forward and things are happening. Those of you who will have been down to the clubhouse in the last couple of weeks will have seen the beginnings of stage 1 of the development plan starting to happen.

We have big plans - including the Ladies 1s cementing their place in National League and doing everything we can to help the men’s 1s get there. Our coaching needs across the club are expanding, from juniors all the way up to walking hockey! We need new equipment and also we have ideas on being able to spearhead more outreach programmes into the local community. All of this costs money and we are very keen to get a sponsorship plan together to take us to another level of funding. Ideally we want to put a 5 year plan together which reflects the ambitions and growth of the club
Bedford Consulting Rooms are our current sponsor and we are grateful to them for their support. Their sponsorship continues through this season and of course we will be talking with them about being involved in our sponsorship programme longer term.

Those of you who attended the AGM will have heard that we want to separate Fundraising and Sponsorship into 2 distinct teams, because the focus and the skills needed are very different.

So, this is a call for all members with either a sales or marketing background or those with a good business network to step forward and join the group responsible for putting the sponsorship plan together. I have offered to chair the group, but it really will need a huge team effort that takes us forward. We will start with a brainstorming session just to get all the ideas on the table and then take those ideas into a full 5 year plan. Once I know who is offering to help then I will send out some options on dates to meet up and get going.

If you would like to be involved please either email me on cheryl.harding@effectiv8.com or call/text on 07939 017237

Regards,

Cheryl (Harding)
