Whilst not a hockey player, himself Calum does, already, have a close link with the Club through his wife, Debbie Wilson, who plays for the Club and is a key member of the junior coaching team, and their daughter, Lily Wilson, who grew up playing for the Club.
At the training session, both teams were able to meet with Calum to express their gratitude for Woods Hardwick’s commitment to the Club, and to talk with him about their enthusiasm and aspirations for the forthcoming season.

The company banners, which will be displayed at the Chester Road pitches, were unveiled, along with the new first team Woods Hardwick sponsored training tops. Speaking about the new partnership Calum Wilson commented “Woods Hardwick were motivated to sponsor Bedford Hockey Club because we believe in supporting the local community. We feel that Bedford Hockey Club has a great relationship with a huge number of people in the town and with the membership covering ages from 5 to 82, the club really gives its players something positive to be part of. As a company we believe strongly in a team ethic and the power of sport in helping to create great teams and these attributes are clearly visible in abundance at BHC”

On behalf of BHC, vice chair and sponsorship lead Cheryl Harding said “Bedford is proud to have both its 1st teams playing in the National League this season and this investment from Woods Hardwick will ensure additional training and coaching resource can be allocated to give the best possible chance for success on the pitch. This will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of hockey players in Bedford and the surrounding areas in the years to come so the support is invaluable.”

Bedford Hockey Club looks forward to what they hope will prove to be a mutually beneficial partnership with Woods Hardwick over the coming season.
