It’s been a hugely successful season at the club particularly on the ladies side where 3 teams gained promotion with 2 going up as champions. The ladies 1st team led the way having won promotion back up to the National League after a 6 year absence and this success was recognised with the ladies team of the season award and the chairman’s award. The ladies 1’s player’s player award was won jointly by impressive midfield duo Katherine Winger and Emma Pinny whilst Pinny went onto collect the prestigious Durham trophy for the ladies player of the season and the mixed player of the season award. Emma Pinny has been an ever present for 1s putting in some phenomenal midfield displays with a mixed of tough tackling, huge determination to improve her game all this having gone through major illness over the summer.

Bedford Girls School student Louise Beechener was named young player of the year having helped the 2’s to a second consecutive promotion alongside leading goal scorer Steph Holyoak whilst Alice Green and Alice Facey from the title winning 4’s took home “Most Improved” and the “Txt Drive Academy player of the year” respectably. Finally from the ladies side Maggie Rees was awarded the honour of the services to the ladies section trophy in recognition of her retirement after over 30 years at the club.

Onto the men’s section and Dan Mason picked up the top award of the evening - Men’s Player of the Year whilst the outstanding displays of goalkeeper Simon Dolan meant that he was the popular choice for 1st team player’s player. Tim Burn’s impressive break through performances saw him take home Young Player of the Year whilst Pete Spenceley netted over 40 goals for the men’s vets this season which made him the runaway winner of the top goal scorer award whilst finally Josh Hughes Earlington won Most Improved player.
