I really enjoyed playing in the Luton tournament. Although my team didn't win it, it was a great morning. I thought we played well as a team and was unlucky not to score more goals. It was really great to see the other Bedford teams do really well and reach the semi finals. I'm really looking forward to playing in more tournaments

On the 1st March, we played a tournament at Luton. We had to wait for the first game against Leighton Buzzard which we won 2-0 and I scored the goals! Our team played really well with brilliant determination to win. After our first game we were all hungry so it was lucky there was a treat van selling chocolate! Adam and Charlie made me laugh telling jokes. I told them one of mine too. We went to cheer on one of our other Bedford teams and played around with Katie’s team.

We were all chocolate-hyped for match 2 which helped us to win 2-0 again – Milly scored a great goal. The last two group games were Tring and Luton. We beat Tring 8-0 and Charlie and I scored hat-tricks. Alice was so happy to get a goal too. Against Luton, Ruby and Adam were great in defence and Charlie hit an epic goal. Freya played so hard all tournament and her Mum handed out delicious cake! We ended up coming 2nd, losing to Luton in the final. I love my silver medal.

If I could sum up today’s tournament, I would say it was brilliant fun and great to be around my friends. The highlights were winning all of our group games and scoring lots of goals!

It was a cold day and I arrived at the tournament at 9 a.m. very excited. I was picked to play for the Bedford 1 team, there were 8 people in my team there was Katie, Chloe, Emily, Sam, Isaac, Ruby, Gabriella and Harriet.

Bedford Team 1 matches

Bedford 1 vs Bedford 3 We beat them 3-0. We were passing a lot, we scored lots of goals and that was probably our best game because we weren’t tired yet.

Bedford 1 vs Tring 2 We beat them 1-0. Tring were a good team but everyone was in a position that they liked and we tackled a lot and got a goal.

Bedford 1 vs Leighton Buzzard They beat us 1-0. Leighton Buzzard were another good team and had a boy that was very good with his skills. He managed to get past us and score a goal.

Bedford 1 vs Berkhamstead & Hemel. We beat them 1-0. We scored in the last minute of the game. It was a close game but we managed to slip a goal in.

We had worked well as a team and got through to the semi -finals! We played against the Bedford 2 team in the semi-final but we didn’t win. Bedford 2 played very well and they scored four goals and we didn’t score any. They went into the finals and we played against Leighton Buzzard for the 3rd and 4th place. By now we were getting very tired and several of our players were injured so we didn’t play as well as before. Leighton Buzzard beat us 3-0 so we came 4th.

1st 2nd and 3rd got a medal but we still went home feeling happy because we came 4th out of ten teams.
