Mens 7s vs MBDA 1

3 Mens 7s

2 MBDA 1

It was an early start for the Men 7’s away at Hitchin Boys against MBDA 1. We have never beaten this team before so the pressure was on to continue the winning streak.

The game started on a bad foot with MBDA getting an early goal about 5 mins in, we then gathered ourselves and managed to get a goal with some great one touch passing by the mids and forwards with Luke Killen finding the back of the net. Luke got hit in the head by a wayward ball and had to leave to the pitch with a bandage wrapped around his head ending his game early. The first half ended 1-1.

We then managed to get another goal through Zameer which helped us relax a bit and get control of the game. Zameer managed to score another goal which gave us a better lead at 3-1. MBDA then upped the pressure when they managed to put another one away bringing it to 3-2. We had about 5 mins to go where we tried to keep possession and run the clock down. The final whistle blew with a lot of relief coming from the Bedford players.

Overall it was a well spirited game and well fought to the end by both sides.
